Indonesian Muslim Diaspora in Contemporary South Korea: Living as Religious Minority Group in Non-Muslim Country

چکیده

The process of migration and cross border mobility occurs for a number reason or background such as politics, economics, education so forth has made Muslim leave their homeland to another countries. Due this migration, significant Muslims becomes diasporic communities in other countries sometimes lives religious minority group non-Muslim country. It is reported that one third the world live both West also some Asian India, Japan, South Korea, etc. In general, existing academic discourse publication focused more West, overlooked Eastern which considered land such. This article discusses minorities with specific focus on Indonesian it up Korea recently. Their challenge, balancing personal identity loyal citizenship well integration issues will discussed from fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) (fiqh al-aqaliyyat) point view.
